The Greater New Orleans Caring Collective was founding on March 16, 2020 with the intent to keep vulnerable community members safe and indoors during the worldwide Covid19 crisis.

 

Within two months of service, and with the help of multiple organizations and hundreds of volunteers, GNOCC has provided: over 20,000 prepared meals, 5,000+ school meals, thousands of dollars in donations, and 300,000+ lbs of groceries to community members who lack food security either due to a lost job, lack of transportation, or the inability to go out due to a compromised immune system.
